Sastry says the mission would have faced problems in the middle of the journey if it was launched successfully.
“The reasons for the sudden postponement of the launch of Chandrayaan-2 are very clear from the astrological point of view. The chart for the proposed launching time of Chandrayaan-2 shows that the event has no energy whatsoever, indicating that it is lifeless. While six physical planets except for Venus are in Rahu shadow, Venus is also combust due to its nearness to the Sun,” he explained.
“Added to this, two natural beneficial planets, Jupiter and Mercury, are weak as they convey 93.76 per cent and 97.06 per cent respectively. The normal strength for any planet to give full results is 100 per cent. This means all three beneficial planets — Jupiter, Venus and Mercury — are not strong enough in the chart,” Sastry futher said.
These factors, according to him, indicate that the event has no divine blessings. “Jupiter stands for the Almighty in Vedic astrology and its weakness shows the weakness of the event (Mahurat). The proposed launching has no divine blessings,” he said.
The tenth house from Lagna stands for skies but its lord Saturn is very much afflicted with its presence in eighth house, the house of destruction. Since the proposed event is related to the skies, the very objective of the event is destroyed, he elaborated.
“The association of retrograde Mercury with debilitated Mars in third house also indicates the technical weakness of the event,” he said, suggesting the authorities to find a perfect Mahurat for complete success. It may be mentioned that Sastry had written to the ISRO authorities on July 8, cautioning them about the muhurat.
